LOTS of Aiden cuteness !!

I know that it has been awhile since I have made a post but in my defense we have spent the last few weeks enjoying having a colicy baby so getting anything done has been hard. We went to the doctor this week to make sure that all of the crying was just Aiden being a fussy butt and nothing more serious. She basically said that he looked fine and was just probably going have colic for a little while. Soooo I spend most of my days with Aiden strapped to my chest in the baby bjorn since that is the place that he is most happy. We still have fun though cleaning the house, going on walks, and dancing around the living room. Unfortunately the time that he is the worst is in the evening so Aaron pretty much never gets to see happy morning Aiden since he is at work/class all day, so that is a bummer.

Anyway here are some pics from our last few weeks together:)

My coworkers gave Aiden a baby shower last week and he got tons of cool stuff including this toy. Everyone was so generous we can't thank them enough!!

Mom and I went to feed the ducks at the MSU dam. There was actually only one duck there and he was so spoiled that if the bread didn't land right in front of him he wouldn't even swim to go get it. After we fed the duck we walked to the MSU dairy store and then to the flower gardens. It was a really fun afternoon!!

So cute and big - I weighed 8lb 11oz at the doctor this week and turn 8 weeks tomorrow!!!

Tummy Time

Until the last week Aiden would NOT tolerate tummy time for more then a few minutes, but now he actually seems to enjoy it and will stay on his tummy for 15-20 minutes before he gets mad. He can pick his head up pretty good although sometimes he just lays there and looks at me like "what, you put me this way and I am just going to lay here :) " . We keep practicing though and someday he will be able to lift up that big Shelle noggin.

Due Date

So today is my actual due date (which means Aiden is 6 weeks old), crazy to think that Aiden should just be joining our family today. Even though his early arrival was stressful we are so glad that he came when he did and that we got to meet teeny tiny Aiden because he is just so stinkin cute!! He has however figured out how to cry and has not been shy to tell us how he feels. Usually he is very easy to console but there have been a few total meltdowns. Overall still doing good, just lots of eating, sleeping, and pooping (and I mean LOTS of pooping!!).

This is the outfit that I wanted to bring Aiden home from the hospital in, he is finally starting to fill it out a bit.

Winter Walk

Even though it has gotten pretty cold out, mom needed to get out of the house and get some fresh air, so she bundled me up and off we went. Dad's friend Griffin's mom made this hat and sweater for me. I think that I look pretty cute in it - Thanks Griffin's mom!!!

The SUPER Nursery

IT'S FINALLY DONE !!!!!

After months of hard work the nursery is finally done and it turned out great!! We are so lucky to have had so much help from the Shelle family, we definatly could not have done it without you.

6lb 13oz

So we went to the doctor for our 4 weeks check up yesterday and Aiden weighed in at a whopping 6 lb 13 oz - what a butter ball!! In his defense he had just eaten 3 oz of milk and hadn't pooped yet so he may have weighed more like 6 lb 10 oz but still a huge gain none the less. The doctor said that everything continues to look fine (except a bit of a diaper rash) and we don't have to go back until the 2 month check. Things on the home front are still going well. Mom is slightly sleep deprived and Dad is crazy busy with school and work, but nothing more then we expected. Our goal for the next few weeks is to try to get Aiden on a 3 1/2 to 4 hour eating schedule instead of the 2 1/2 to 3 hour one that we are on now. He is eating 3-4 oz at a time now so he can go a little longer in between feedings. It is funny how before Aiden I would have never gotten so excited about the prospect of sleeping for 4 hours but now it sounds like heaven!!

Migo - The Forgotten Sibling

Migo has actually done a great job with the baby. He is very attentive to him and comes running every time he cries. He does however want to sniff him ALL the time which can get a little annoying but overall he has done better then we expected.
