Big Boy Food

The doctor told us that we could start feeding Aiden some rice cereal now that he is 4 months old. Soooo we got out the high chair and gave it a try yesterday....

Um... Mom I think that this chair might be a little too big for me.

I don't think that I actually ate any cereal but it was fun to spit it out when mom put it in my mouth :)

Christmas

Aiden had a great first Christmas. He got tons of cool toys and cute clothes from everyone (THANKS!!). It was great to spend time with all our family and friends and really nice to finally meet Aiden's pal Eli :) Lost in wrapping paper...

(This is my good friend Renee's baby Elijah (8 weeks old). They live in DC so this was the first time that the boys met. Even thought they are holding hands here they really didn't notice each other at all.)

The String Bean

Aiden is 16 weeks old today so we went to the Dr. Josh for our 4 month checkup. He said that everything looks good, Aiden is growing well and meeting all the appropriate milestones. He now weighs 12lbs (7th percentile) and he is 25 inches long (70th percentile!!). So basically our little peanut is actually a long, skinny, string bean !! Unfortunately the thrush that Aiden got last week is still there so we have to keep giving him meds and I have to keep boiling all his bottles and pacifiers for a while longer. Hopefully it will clear up in the next week because I hate giving my baby any medications and boiling bottles is sort of a pain. I also returned to work this week which took a bit of adjusting but went OK. Aaron has been home with the baby this week so they have been enjoying lots of Daddy-Aiden time:)

I almost forgot, we got a new addition to Team Shelle today...

Since we had Aiden I have become totally picture crazy. Every time he is looking cute I must take his picture!! So here are just a few of the latest cute pics :)

Dad took this one of me and Aiden having a nap. I have been trying to take an afternoon nap everyday this week since I won't be able to after I go back to work next week.

Look how good I have gotten at holding up my head. I can hold it steady for my whole tummy time and today I almost rolled from my stomach to my back!! I was sooo close to rolling over but I just couldn't get that last few inches - Maybe tomorrow :)

Visiting Santa

Aiden is very excited about his first Christmas and so we went to visit Santa at the mall yesterday. He told Santa everything that he wanted for Christmas: milk, clean diapers, someone to hold him, and some more milk (he is a man of simple pleasures). He did really good though and didn't even spit up on Santa!!

More Tummy Time

Update

Life in the Shelle household has been pretty crazy the past few weeks. Aaron is busy preparing for finals, Fran is busy getting ready to go back to work (YIKES!!), and Aiden is busy flirting with his mom and dad :) In the past few weeks Aiden has really began to interact with us. He stares at our faces and will smile and laugh when we talk to him. He is also getting really good at holding up his head and has almost rolled over from his belly a few times. It is so awesome to see him smile, it totally makes you forget all the crying!! We have also found a daycare that we like and Aiden will be starting there after the new year. He will only have to go part time which will be nice and I think that he will have fun watching the other kids. We are also looking forward to celebrating the holiday season with our little peanut, Christmas is a lot more fun when you have a kid to shop for!!
