Awesome Isaac

As you can see from the pics Isaac has not stopped growing !! We went to the doctor last week (unfortunately all of us are sick) and Isaac weighed 14lbs!! He continues to be a great little guy - smiling and laughing (especially for his daddy). He is already 4 months old and growing up way too fast for me !

Checking out my candy with dad - I did pretty good at saying "trick or treat" and "thank you" at all the houses. We were a pretty slow moving group so we didn't get to that many houses before we got too cold and went home. Don't worry though Aiden got PLENTY of candy !!

Halloween Fun

Aiden absolutely LOVES "punkins" - I got some small gourds for our table centerpiece and he plays with them all the time (he even shares his food with them!). So I decided to be brave and carve a pumpkin with him - surprisingly he was really not that interested in playing with the guts and got upset when I put some on his arm. The final product was pretty lame and since we won't be home for trick-or-treaters we are going to donate the pumpkin to grandma & grandpa's porch.

Painting noodles for the Halloween noodle necklaces we made. I love the look of total concentration on Aiden's face. He REALLY liked painting and only ate one of the painty noodles - according to him is tasted "mmm mmm mmm."

Aiden is still doing great as a big brother - he LOVES to touch and hold Isaac (aka baby) and the only time that he seems to get really jealous is when I am nursing Isaac and he wants me to be playing with him but even that is happening less often. Isaac seems to really like his big brother too - when he is awake he likes to be looking at Aiden and he doesn't really seem to mind when Aiden gets a little close and squishes him a bit.

Due Date

Today is my official due date - crazy to think that we should just be meeting Isaac today. The last 6 weeks have been crazy but great. Nothing is better the having a little baby sleeping on your chest and an Aiden John snuggled up next to you. Ahhhh my boys... they are awesome (that includes you dad !!)

The doctor said that he was doing great - really no concerns. We did go ahead and snip his tongue due to the fact that nursing had been really painful for me. The procedure took like 5 seconds and he hardly cried at all. It does seem to have helped with the pain and as you can tell from the weight he is not having any trouble eating.

Aiden is also doing great. The doctor had no concerns and neither did we. The apt however was much more traumatic - Aiden cried throughout pretty much the whole visit. He actually probably cried more when I put him on the scale then when they gave him his flu shot .
