July 4th

We were lucky enough to be able to spend the 4th on Lake Lansing with good friends and of course lots of good food. Aiden did really well on the boat, although he wasn't a fan of his life jacket since it is very bulky and he pretty much couldn't move when he had it on. He did enjoy driving the boat with Uncle Chris and playing with his buddy Collin. We ended the night watching the fireworks which he seemed to think were pretty cool. Overall it was a great 4th and one Aiden is sure to remember :)

Random Aiden

Now that Aiden can move around the living room it has become his quest to get the video game controllers (he really likes all electronics but the controllers are his fave). We have built multiple obstacles to deter him but somehow he still manages to get to those controllers:)

Grand Haven

Aunt Jen, Aiden, and I took a day trip to Grand Haven this Saturday. It was raining and cold when we got there, but after we had lunch the sky cleared and we had great weather. Aiden loved the beach and was so cute playing in the sand. He kept picking up handfuls and looking at it, then dropping it, and picking it up again. He only ate a little bit of sand right when we got there so I was happy because I thought sand eating might be a problem since he still puts everything in his mouth. Overall it was a great day and we are definitely going to spend more days at the lake this summer!!

(I brought this blow up pool and we put some water from the lake in it for Aiden to play in. It worked really well because the water warmed up in the sun and it kept Aiden contained.)

Aiden Update

Ahhh the TV - Saturday morning babysitter while mom makes her coffee. Even though Aiden John is FINALLY sleeping through the night (thanks for the advice Renee!!) he still gets up between 6:30-7:00 so coffee is a must for mom :)
